Mosaic workshop community project
In 2010 I was commissioned for an outside mosaic mural for a private home in Bermuda.
In January 2013 I won the People’s Choice Award for the 2012 John Charman Prize at Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art. See Special Projects for more pictures.
And, in April 2013 I was commissioned by The Reefs Hotel in Bermuda to mosaic an industrial sized, stainless-steel, pizza oven. See Special Projects
Originally from Somerset in England, I am married to Hugh and have two daughters Francesca and Daisy.

I focus mainly on flora in my work, finding inspiration through my garden. The rich, vibrant colours and the feminine, delicate flowers inspire my own interpretation of what I see. I aim to capture the subject in 3D, which involves either layering the mosaic tile, or using crockery to create a flower-like shape. I like to make the flower protrude so that it is more visually interesting and perhaps challenges perceived notions about mosaic art as just broken tile and glass.
I am a mosaic artist based in Bermuda creating textured mosaic art.
I use the direct method, which involves the tile being placed face-up directly onto the board, before grouting. Each mosaic is custom framed with my own rustic, wooden frame.
I joined the Kaleidoscope Arts Foundation family in 2009 and taught a number of popular mosaic and lightweight concrete sculpture classes for adults and children. I now hold private workshops for both adults and children at my home studio.
